Coffee Syrup Tutorial

I love flavored coffee! My favorite has to be a Caramel Latte, iced. I finally figured out a recipe "almost" like Starbucks. I was purchasing my bottled syrups but since I am trying to save money and get away from preservatives in my foods I decided to make my own. I saved one of the purchased bottles and recycled it to use for my own syrup. As you know Starbucks is very expensive so being able to make my own was wonderful. So here goes.

Step #1 The recipe. I don't remember where I got this one otherwise I would add that information. But here is what I have:
First this is the recipe you need. You can double or triple for however much you want to make.

Step #2 You combine your sugars and water.

Step #3 Bring to boil, then reduce heat and simmer.

Step #4  Start timing once you turn heat to simmer. Time for 15 minutes

Step #5 Once timer stops add vanilla and stir until incorporated. Cool and add to your bottle.

Step #6 I used an old bottle after removing the labels. Be sure you refrigerate as it contains NO PRESERVATIVES!

  1. I tried this and it was so easy. It's also very good, just like what you buy ready made.
